Leviticus 16:29-31

²⁹ “This ·law [statute; ordinance; requirement] will always continue for you: On the tenth day of the seventh month, you must deny yourself [^Cperhaps a reference to fasting] and you must not do any work. The ·travelers [or citizens] or ·foreigners living with you [alien residents] must not work either. ³⁰ It is on this day that the priests will make you clean ·so you will belong to the Lord again [^Land make atonement for you]. All your sins will be removed. ³¹ This is a very important day of rest for you, and you must deny yourselves. This ·law [statute; ordinance; regulation] will continue forever.
